Qualifications - Computer Maintenance

Computers are, without question, necessary tools of business - but they need to be working to be effective. Common sense we know but talk to any business and they will tell you that finding good, reliable support services to avoid 'down time' is a constant source of sleepless nights.

This qualification tests a student's ability to understand the workings of a computer and to make adjustments, repairs and upgrades. Students who achieve this qualification should be able to service and upgrade a computer and understand how a computer works - or why it doesn't! This will assist students to find employment in this field or will expand their skills base when entering other, related careers. This will also be useful to students who simply wish to have a better understanding of how their personal computer works and how to upgrade it as new innovations reach the computer market.
