About Us - The ACITP and its objectives

The Association of Certified IT Professionals (ACITP) was set up for professionals by professionals.

The ACITP exists to promote standards of excellence in the use of Information Technology through the establishment of a series of vocationally relevant qualifications that are job-related and lead directly to election to membership. It is founded on the principle that all people whose careers are dependant on IT should be given the opportunity to have their skills properly recognised and rewarded.

Membership of a vibrant organisation will appeal to everyone who wants to use their qualifications to enhance their career prospects. Many ACITP students will be away from work bringing up a family and wish to use their qualification to get back to work as family commitments subside: Some will be administrators, supervisors or managers who want to be better qualified at what they do: Others will want to move into a career in IT, knowing that they have a relevant qualification.

So whether you are working with IT every day and want to be better at what you do, you are seeking promotion, or you know very little about modern computers and want to understand office technology, the ACITP has something to offer.
